IF YOU DON'T KNOW NOW YOU KNOW

Just a quick recap from my recent Instagram posts (@jasmindailyfashion).

I am obsessed with this tee, it is super soft, perfectly oversized and I seriously reach for it to wear at least twice a week.

This is from day two of Landmark Festival, you can peep the details from my day one outfit here.

I was so excited to whip out my blanket scarves this season, unfortunately I have only been able to wear them for a couple hours in the morning before we hit mid 70s in the afternoon, but I will take whatever I can get.

RAIN BOOTIES (LAST SEEN HERE)

I can tell these are going to get ALOT of wear, whether it is raining or not.

This bag *swoon*.

I wore this outfit to travel up to Philly the other weekend for homecoming at my my alma mater, Temple University. It was the perfect travel attire, for some reason stripes always make their way into my travel look.

I spent the weekend catching up with my bestie and of course we had to wear our "twinning" dresses out and about.

When I saw these online it was instant heart eyes, plus they were on sale, so imagine my excitement when they arrived! I have worn them non stop, they are SUPER comfortable and such a great option for print mixing.

I love sweater season, my always cold self is always bundled up in the warmest sweater I can find.

FUR VEST | | BLACK SHIRT | | DENIM | | PURSE (SIMILAR) | | NECKLACE | | RING

I wore this look to brunch the other day and of course had to show off my new Kendra Scott pieces from the shopping event the evening before.

RAIN BOOTIES

TRENCH COAT (SIMILAR) | | SWEATER | | DENIM | | RAIN BOOTIES | | PURSE (SIMILAR) | | EARRINGS | | LIPS: 'BLISS' c/o GLO MINERALS | | NAILS: 'ACE OF SPADES' REVLON COLORSTAY GEL ENVY

Rain booties are a great alternative to the traditional tall rain boot. I love my go to Hunters but an ankle rain boot provides a sophisticated, chic edge to an everyday outfit where sometimes a tall boot can be an eyesore. You'll end up wearing these babies even when it isn't raining, they are the perfect cut and with so many print and color options ankle booties are a must whether you're getting a lot of rain or experiencing a drought! Below are a few more of my favorites under $100!

BACK TO BLACK

Whenever I am in a rut with what to wear I always reach for my black basics. Denim, black pumps and an easy black top are a sure thing but that doesn't mean that going back to black has to be boring or repetitive. A simple accessory especially an unexpected one can completely change a look. Adding a black bow tie to this blouse is a simple, almost unnoticeable way to alter the look but instantly changes everything about this getup. A top like this will also be perfect layered under sweaters or sweatshirts as the weather cools, even in black, adding volume and texture overtop is a great way to renew a simple black top.

MAKEUP ROUTINE

I always start with a clean, moisturized face and then add a very small amount of foundation, just enough to even out my complexion and create a smooth base. I use Maybelline Fit Me! Matte + Poreless in Shade 322 Warm Honey because it creates the perfect amount of sheer coverage and provides a matte finish so that you do not feel oily or the need to touch up at all throughout the day.
Next I highlight, I use a lighter shade of my foundation and swear by these chubby sticks which make application so easy. I make sure to highlight my cheekbones, nose, forehead and chin. You want to highlight the areas where light would naturally hit.
After I highlight, I contour. I use the same chubby stick but a few shades darker than my foundation. You want to contour the hollows of your cheeks, hairline, nose and jawline.
After you have highlighted and contoured you want to blend, like crazy! All of those unnatural looking lines need to be blended in, in order to create a natural looking contrast. I am a beauty blender believer and think it is totally worth the price tag. But be sure to use it accordingly in order to get the best results, I always clean and wet the blender then pat it with a towel. You want it to be damp and hold some moisture so that it doesn't just absorb all of your makeup.
Once you are all blended add a bold lip, I am loving this red for Fall!
Then last, but certainly not least add mascara, eyeliner and fill in those brows! On a normal daily basis my eyes and brows are my second step after foundation, I do not wear a full face of makeup on the daily but cannot leave the house without doing my eyes and brows.
There you have it! That is my most recent makeup routine for photoshoots, events, a night out or just on those days when I feel like getting dolled up. I do not wear this much makeup on a daily basis but do enjoy what makeup can do to my face, and think it is a fun way to enhance features. I truly believe that makeup is all about trial and error, I have bought and tossed so many products but figuring out the best routine for YOU is what it's all about. I am aware this routine will not work for everyone but hope it can provide you with some great products that I love and which will hopefully work for you as well as they have for me.

PLAID & LEOPARD

BLACK DRESS | | FAUX LEATHER JACKET (SIMILAR) | | LEOPARD BOOTIES (LESS THAN $50!) | | BLANKET SCARF (SIMILAR) | | SUNGLASSES | | EARRINGS | | NAILS: 'DRESSED TO KILL' BY MAYBELLINE

Happy almost Friday! Does anyone else love Thursdays like me? Well I love Thursdays, almost as much as I love Fall and print mixing. Plaid and leopard is definitely my go to because it feels relatively safe, incorporates one of my favorite neutrals, leopard, yes leopard is a neutral, and really resonates with the current season. You can see another plaid and leopard duo here. For this look I kept the rest of my outfit relatively simple and let the scarf and booties speak for themselves. On another note, if you haven't stocked up on blanket scarves I highly suggest you do so now, there are always a handful of favorites that sell out before it is really "blanket scarf season" so don't miss out, you can check out this post for the top rated scarves in my opinion. Additionally this post highlights two additional ways to wear these famous scarves and can give you a better idea of why everyone is obsessed with them, because seriously, who doesn't want to wear a blanket out, fashionably, when it's freezing!?! I know I do!
