Holiday looks do not have to be all about the glitter and glitz, when you want to wear that standout dress or sequin jumpsuit you do not want to go overboard with competing makeup. I like to keep things relatively simple and natural while amping up one feature. I chose to do some doll-like lashes for a recent holiday party, now you can recreate this look one of two ways you can either use falsies, I prefer the individual falsies because I think it enhances your lashes while appearing to be more "natural" or you can skip the falsies all together and double up on your mascara. This is my go to mascara because it is build-able and so easy to apply to both sides of my lashes which is what I do to create a more dramatic effect. I coat both sides of my lashes let it dry then apply a second coat and it instantly makes me look like I am wearing a pair of falsies when I am not! As far as eyeshadow goes you want pigmentation and this palette offers just that, but remember to blend, blend, then blend some more. I kept my lids light then gradually darkened the hue as I moved outwards then did a dark crease for emphasis, lastly I lined my bottom lash line with eyeliner. I finished off the look with what I would call the perfect shiny nude! All of my products are from Ulta Beauty which has seriously become my one stop shop for beauty products.
