For those of you who follow along you must know by now that I hate the cold, I complain about it A LOT, but when December rolls around I suck it up because December means holiday parties and I LOVE holiday parties! This time of year is so magical, between the first snow fall, the late night baking sessions (because it's too cold to go out), new cozy pjs and time spent with loved ones anticipating the arrival of jolly old Saint Nick, I think it is fair to say that this is the most wonderful time of the year. I always get my holiday looks prepped in advance, mixing preowned items with dazzling new pieces to ensure that I am prepared for the abundance of gatherings both casual and glam. However, this year I will be in England spending the holidays with my family so my holiday attire will consist of those new cozy pjs I just spoke of. That's not to say that you all shouldn't be out glamming it up for the holidays, so today and for the next two Wednesdays I will be sharing some holiday looks and living vicariously through you.

This first look embodies classic elements of the holidays, a classic pop of red with a white statement coat speak volumes, add a few touches of gold, top it off with a bow and you look festive and radiant for a night spent in front of the fireplace or caroling around the piano.

  1. I've been looking everywhere for a cute plaid dress for the holidays... I haven't been having any luck :( This is super cute though! love the idea of putting a skirt over a dress.
